Office Fitout for the HSE at Mount Kennett House, Limerick City
In early 2022, Collins Building & Civil Engineering Ltd delivered a comprehensive multi-floor office fitout for the Health Service Executive (HSE), working in partnership with Carnegie Co. Ltd. The project involved the full internal redevelopment of Mount Kennett House in Limerick City—refitting five floors of the building to create modern, efficient office space tailored to the HSE’s operational needs.
Complete Internal Fitout Across Five Floors
This ambitious project required the complete internal strip-out and refit of the ground, first, second, third, and fourth floors of Mount Kennett House. The scope of works included:

Demolition & Strip-Out
All existing internal finishes were removed to prepare for the new layout and systems. -
Office Fitout & Partitioning
New metal stud partition walls were installed to create open-plan zones, private offices, and breakout areas. -
Ceiling Systems
Grid ceilings were fitted throughout, allowing for efficient lighting, acoustic control, and easy access to services. -
Joinery & Finishes
New joinery elements and modern flooring were applied across all office spaces, delivering a clean, cohesive aesthetic. -
Comms Room Installation
A dedicated comms room was created to house IT infrastructure and support data management for the office network. -
Canteen & Welfare Areas
A new canteen and staff support areas were fitted out to provide a comfortable, functional space for daily use. -
Bathroom Facilities
All bathroom areas were fully upgraded to meet modern standards of comfort, accessibility, and hygiene.
Upgrades Beyond the Interior
The project also included several key enhancements to building-wide infrastructure, including:

Lift Upgrade
The existing lift was refurbished and modernised for improved accessibility and reliability. -
External Windows & Doors
Upgrades to glazing and entry systems improved both thermal performance and security. -
Roof-Level Safety Systems
Installation of fall arrest systems ensured safe roof access in compliance with H&S regulations.
